Trip to the Olympics

This picture was taken at Regent College on the campus of British Columbia University, where our son-in-law is pursuing his Master of Theology degree. The torch was one that carried the flame prior to the opening of the games.

One of the VC city buses

The Olympic Torch was fenced off to keep tourist from getting too close. However, it was so far away and the fence was so tall that the crowd of visitors couldn't get good pictures of it. They protested enough that later that evening we heard they took part of the fence down so there was better viewing. It was still a great experience to see it from afar.

While in one of the shops, one of the medalist walked in! This is David Moeller, from Germany. He won the Silver Medal in the Luge event. What an unexpected treat to have our pictures taken with him.

Linda got her turn too. That medal is heavy!

Preaching at Peace Arch Assembly

While visiting our children, I had the privilege of filling my son-in-
law's pulpit. The challenge of fasting & praying was delivered. The
pictures that follow show how God moved on the hearts of the men of
the church to pray for their pastor. What a joy to see God move by His
power.
