40 Days of Love Small Group

We enjoyed our 2nd week of the 40 Days of Love Small Group Sessions. Pictured are: Steve and Carol Barnes (no relation to Pastor Don), Jim Duffy and Pastor Don, Linda Barnes and Denise Duffy. Also in our group is Dr. Tim and Melinda Lee, but they were unable to attend tonight's meeting. To top off the evening we celebrated Steve's birthday with his favorite cake...German Chocolate. The balloons, which added to the fun, were provided by Jim and Denise Duffy.

Barbershop Quartet Entertaining Guests At Pastor Gary Pratt's 60th Birthday Party

Pastor Gary Pratt was surprised this afternoon by family and friends at a party to celebrate his 60th birthday. The "entertainment" was a well-loved and newly formed barbershop quartet. Singing 1st tenor, Pastor Brent Barnes; Lead, Jay Damron; Bass, Ben Good; Baritone, Zach Martin. Hearing this video is the next best thing to being there. Happy Birthday Pastor Gary!!!

What DOES a Pastor Do on His Day Off?

Have you ever wondered what a Pastor does on his day off? Well, today Pastor Don had a "Honey-Do" list. The ballast in our closet light burned out. It can be really dark in a closet, no telling how we might have come dressed for church! So he kindly and lovingly replaced the ballast and the end result....There is light!!!"

LFA Girlfriend Pampering

20 Girlfriends from LFA went to the Vine and the Fig Tree in Duncan, OK for an evening of fun, food, and pampering. Each lady received a facial, hand wax, foot soaking/massage, and chair massage. The atmosphere was great. Linda Nelson the owner and hostess of the event is a lovely lady of grace and a great example of a Godly servant. It was a wonderful, relaxing, fun evening. Heads up to all LFA Girlfriends to watch for a return visit in the future. Plan to join us!

LFA Staff Birthday Lunch

We have a great pastoral and support staff at LFA. We feel like family, so we get together every couple of months for lunch to celebrate birthdays. Blanca Martin, our children's dept. secretary is a wonderful cook! As far as we are concerned, her specialty of Mexican food is the best!!!

January G-Cuisine

10 LFA Girlfriends gathered at the Barnes home Friday for G-Cuisine. This month's theme was "Comfort Foods." Jackie Somerlott did a demonstration of homemade Apple Dumplings. Other ladies brought their favorite comfort food, so we enjoyed a great meal together. There is always something new to learn from our friends.
